A Biddeford Boy Having Fun
My name is Randy Seaver, a wannabe novelist, a proud father and the founder of a non-profit media organization that serves my hometown of Biddeford, Maine.
My career in journalism and public relations spans more than three decades, but I am also an outspoken advocate for people living with the challenges of a mental health disorder.
I have struggled with bipolar and schizoid-affective disorders my entire adult life, hospitalized — on a voluntary and involuntary basis — more than 20 times in five different states.
I am an old-school journalist, considered a muckraker by friends, colleagues and local government officials. I wear that label proudly and strive daily to live up to its expectations.
Before my career in journalism, I bounced around the country as an industrial tool salesman and as a pre-novitiate candidate with the Sacred Heart Fathers & Brothers.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, classic jazz and spending time with my smoking-hot wife and our two dogs, Sasha and Moose.
